Deep Purple : Blue + 15 Pink
Green Apple: 25 Green + 2 Blue
Apricot: 8 Green + 3 Pink
Turquoise: 10 Blue + 3 Green
Dusty Rose: 6 Pink + 1 Blue
Sky Blue: 12 Blue + 6 Purple + 2 Green


For St. Patrick's Day, Christmas Day, Arbor Day...or any other day that needs a dash of color, it's easy being green when you add this food color to your favorite treats.

Usage
Fun with Food Color

Colorful Cakes: Prepare and bake 1 package white cake mix as directed on package, adding 1/2 teaspoon Food Color to batter.

Green Car Cookies: Use green tinted Colorful Cookie Icing to glaze car-shaped cookies.

To Dye Easter Eggs: Mix 1/2 cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon Food Color in a cup. Dip hard-cooked eggs into dye 5 minutes or longer to achieve desired color. Remove to wire rack to dry.

1/4 teaspoon Food Color = 20 to 25 drops

Green Beer Day in Miami

Green beer has never quite caught in the country that invented red lemonade, but the St Patrick's brand has a growing fan base, with booming sales of inflatable tricolour hammers and ginger stick-on leprechaun beards.

A long-standing tradition, Green Beer Day has been part of university life since approximately 1952.Green Beer Day, the decades-old Oxford tradition in which students give an early welcome to spring break and St. Patrick's Day by drinking green beer before dawn, is facing more crackdowns by Oxford police and school officials who said the day encourages binge drinking.


Zoology professor Ron Wiley is giving students a physiology exam Thursday morning - on green paper. "When I thought about giving an exam on Green Beer Day, I thought, 'Maybe that's good.'

While the Miami faculty may not approve of Green Beer Day, much support exists for it among the student body. The Mardi Gras-like event also draws students from other campuses. "I have some friends coming up from other schools (for Green Beer Day)," said sophomore Joby Myers.No matter who's involved, the celebration on Thursday will draw crowds to start off spring break, beginning early and ending late.

"St. Patrick driving the snakes out of Ireland" was code for "converting the Pagans." After days passed, Beer plays a big role — a defining role — in how we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. A time-honored tradition on St. Patrick's Day is to drink green beer.

What is actually green beer, A Black and Tan is an authentic Irish drink. The Black and Tan is simply a pint glass with two different beers--ale and stout--layered in it. The ale goes in first; fill the glass just slightly less than half full with your favorite chilled Irish ale. Float the stout on top of the ale, rather than mixing the two layers. To do this, place a spoon over the glass, convex side up, and slowly pour the stout over the back of the spoon so it drizzles into the glass as gently as possible. Allow the stout to settle, and then make a toast and drink up!

How to make beer green

Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring into the bottom of a frosty glass or mug. Then gently pour your beer into the glass or mug. If you add the

coloring after you have poured your beer it will still work but you might have to stir it to even out the color.

Tip: When trying to make a dark, red or amber beer green you will have to add more coloring. Start with 3-5 drops then add more if needed after.

Making green beer when making beer:

Put one once of water in a glass and add 5-7 drops of green coloring. Microwave until it boils, then let cool. Add 2-3 drops for every beer you will

make. Dark, red and amber beers will require more. If you plan on making a keg of beer you will need a lot more of this solution.

There are a few different ways to make green beer. You can make each beer you pour green by adding food coloring. Or you can make it green when you

are making a keg or bottling your own. The easiest beer to make green is a light colored beer.

How to make Green beer

INGREDIENTS:

* One 12oz Beer - any beer will do although lighter colored beers will display the green better
* Green food coloring - one drop

PREPARATION:

Add one drop of green food coloring to your pint glass. Pour the beer into the glass.

That's it! This works for any beer. Darker beers like stout will have a nice green head atop their normally dark bodies. Enjoy your Green beer
